Where Did the Player's List Go?

In the early days I had a list of cousins who were regular contributors to Heycuz, or those who had their own web sites, and I called that list the Player's List. Over time web sites came and went and keeping track of them was a full time job. So all that was left was members' email addresses. The problem with that is that the only ones who used that page were web robots phishing for email addresses of our family members. All that has changed for the better. With our new format, cousins can connect with each other, leave messages, follow threads on posts, and see what other surnames other cousins are researching. There really is no need for email addresses, however, if you choose to post an email address, you are still protected from those nasty "bots" who only want to send out spam. Statistics show that as much as 70 percent of the email we all receive is junk, but worry not! This site has a built in feature that cloaks email addresses using a javascript so that the site cannot be skimmed for email addresses.
You can also view the members of the heycuz newsgroup and contact them that way. The email addresses are only viewable by members of the newsgroup. If you are subscribed to the newsgroup, log onto the Yahoogroups Heycuz main page at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/heycuz/

To view the players click on "members".

If you're not sure who you're looking for who can always post to the group and we'll be glad to point you in the right direction.

Having the players list viewable only by members is safer and more efficient, since you have to have a valid email address to be a member.
