Elijah Sullivan, Williamson County, Tennessee
I am new to Hey Cuz, but have viewed the data on this site and have found it very informative and helpful. I think my ancestor Elijah Sullivan connects to these Sullivans. I would like to share my info in hopes of hearing back from some of "my cousins".
Elijah Sullivan, born 1796 in Virginia--parents ??1813 listed (baptism)on Turnbull Primitive Baptist Church records, Dickson County, Tenn. Daniel Sullivan listed with him. 1814-15 served in War of 1812 from Williamson county, Tenn. Tax records in Williamson County 1816, 1817--40 acres on Turnbull Creek. Zachariah Sullivan is listed right next to him with 10 acres on Turnbull Creek in 1816. Married in 1818 to Malinda Majors in Tennessee. Land grant in Hardin county, Tennessemoved to Alabama then Monroe County, Mississippi (land here)where he probably died before 1870. Known children: Robert M, Mary, Daniel Owen, Elijah Cameron, Rebecca, Zephaniah (who we come through).
Believe Daniel Sullivan (b. 1767 NC) is the father of Elijah. I am waiting for an interlibrary loan of the Turnbull Creek Primitive Baptist Church records to check an entry for 1806 for Daniel and possible family. Should give me more conclusive proof. Any comments, thoughts, suggestions. Thanks. Ilean Sullivan
