  • Description: Cattis Newton Gossett, (Oct. 21, 1874, Graves Co., KY) was the son of James W.L. Gossett (Jan. 18. 1848, TN-Feb. 12. 1909, Graves) and S. Elizabeth (Feb. 9, 1912, Graves). Both are buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery. He married Hattie Evellee Gilbert (Oct. 27,1885) and both were buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery in north Graves County. Their children were Vertie, Jewell, Emmitt, Worthy (is still living today in Paducah, KY). Mattie B., Reba and Wonda. (Arnold Dobbs, from Graves County Kentucky Histories)
