Entering additions to established families
After the last changes were made to the site, I can no longer find a button to pull up a family group to make changes and additions. I can find buttons for editing individuals but not a family. Help!
To Edit a Family group, navigate to one of the parents. Scroll down the page to locate the Family area. In that area is an "Edit" link. It is directly across from the "Last Modified" subhead. See image:

An alternative way to edit families, especially good if you want to add parents, is to do it through the Ancestral chart feature. To do that, go to an individual you'd like to add parents to and click on the second tab in the top menu titled "Ancestors." The chart that pops up will show the existing ancestors, and an edit family link where there are no parents for an individual as shown in image below:

Click on the "Edit Family" link to enter the edit area.
Either method will take you to the Family Editing feature. Here you can add a spouse--either create a new individual in the database or link an existing one. In the spouse area your options include: Find, Create, Edit, or remove.

If you want to Add children, scroll further down the page to the children's section. You can add individuals who already exist in the database by clicking on the find button. To add new individual's click on the create button.

If you hover your mouse just to the right of a child's name, hidden options will appear to allow you to remove an individual from that family.
Once you have made your changes, remember to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click save.
Editor's note: I am working on creating some video how tos, for those who prefer to see how something works rather than reading instructions. So check Our FAQs in the near future.
